Springfield Technical Community College and Elms College have partnered to create a unique bachelor's degree program that offers students the best of both colleges. The end result is an affordable bachelor's degree from Elms College with classes being offered on the STCC campus. And you can complete your degree in just 20 months. A degree is currently offered in social work.
The Elms College bachelor's degree completion programs offered at STCC meet all general requirements of Elms College. You enter this program with the required associate's degree, satisfy Elms' core requirements, and complete the requirements of your specific degree program. Essentially, you earn a degree from a private institution in a familiar public school setting.
Classes are held at on the STCC main campus in Building 13, Room 243, on Saturdays, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1-5 p.m., and are all taught Elms faculty. By completing your coursework in 10 eight-week sessions over a 20-month period, you can save thousands of dollars by completing your degree in this uniquely affordable program.
When you finish the program, you will be awarded an Elms College bachelor of science degree.
Community college graduates who have earned an associate degree are eligible to apply to this program. Entry into this program is based on you having earned at least 60 credits from your associate's degree program.
The bachelor's degree program requires 120 credits. You can transfer in a maximum of 78 credits from STCC or other regionally accredited colleges. A minimum of 42 credits must be earned through Elms College.
All Elms College core and program requirements must be met.
