  • Journal citations not owned by the Elms can be submitted to the Interlibrary Loan Department for retrieval (for Elms students only).

  • Context sensitive HELP screens are available every step of the way.

  • Academic OneFile is a resource for peer-reviewed content and includes full-text coverage of NPR, CNN, CBC transcripts, and the New York Times (1995).
  • Biography in Context provides biographies for individuals spanning a variety of fields.
  • Culinary Arts Colelction provides thousands of searchable recipes, restaurant reviews, and industry information.
  • Expanded Academic ASAP provides scholarly content covering arts & humanities, the social sciences, and the general sciences.
  • Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research.
  • General OneFile provides a one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics. Coverage: 1980 to present.
  • General Reference Center Gold provides general interest magazine articles, reference book extracts, and citations to newspaper articles.
  • Global Issues in Context offers international viewpoints on a broad spectrum of global issues, topics, and currents events as well as information about various countries written by local experts.
  • Home Improvement Collection covers information on the topic including architectural techniques, tool and material selection, and zoning requirements
  • Hospitality, Tourism, and Leisure Collection provides information on both the historical and current issues in the field, including the cultural aspects of travel, leisure activities, and economics.
  • Massachusetts History Online provides full-text articles from 50 magazines and local newspapers about Massachusetts.
  • New York Times Newspaper (1995 to present) offers full-text coverage of the U.S. newspaper of record as well as superb coverage of national and international news.
  • Pop Culture Collection provides information on the topic from more than 100 subject-appropriate periodicals.
  • Popular Magazines includes more than 1,000 magazines across all InfoTrac products, which were selected on actual searches performed by library patrons
  • Vocations and Careers Collection provides content from general career guides to highly specialized industry journals from nearly 400 journals.

  • Business Economics and Theory provides information on the topic from more than 150 full-text journals.
  • Business Insights: Essentials provides information on companies, industries, timely news, statistical data, and in-depth reports

Diversity Studies:

  • Diversity Studies Collection explores cultural differences, contributions and influences in the global community.
  • Gender Studies Collection provides current information in the field and includes gender studies, family and marital issues, and health issues.

Education:

  • Educator's Reference Complete provides full text of over 1,100 periodicals and 200 reports for educational research from preschool to college.
  • Junior/Student Editions are databases that provide articles selected for the appropriate age level and include magazines, reference books, and newspaper articles on current events and other topics.
  • Kids InfoBits meets the research needs of students in Kindergarten through Grade 5.

  • Health and Wellness Resource Center provides access to information from various resources designed for informational purposes only
  • Health Reference Center Academic provides full-text of hundreds of journals, books, and other published sources from the Humanities field.
  • Nursing and Allied Health Collection covers all aspects of the Nursing profession.
  • Nursing Resource Center provides information on disease and drug overviews, care plans, relevant journal results and animated anatomy and physiology diagrams designed to compelent the core encyclopedia texts.
  • Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Collection  includes over 100 titles in the field focusing on a variety of topics including proven treatment techniques and experimental research theses.

History:

  • Massachusetts History Online provides full-text articles from 50 magazines and local newspapers about Massachusetts.
  • Military and Intelligence Database provides information on all aspects of the past and current state of military affairs, including the socioeconomic effects of war, governmental policies, and the structure of armed forces 
  • U.S. History Collection provides information on the current thinking and events in US History as well as scholary work being established in the field.
  • U.S. History in Context provides information on the most significant people, events, and topics in U.S. History.
  • War and Terrorism Collection provides information on the topic geared toward analysts, risk management professionals and students of military science, history, and social science
  • World History in Context  provides information on hundreds of the most significant people, events and topics in World History.
  • World History Collection provides information on the current thinking and events in World History as well as scholarly work being established in the field.
