Sarah Buckley ’13 is an operating room nurse (circulating nurse) at Mercy Hospital. She and Ryan Manse ‘13 are co-recipients of the inaugural Mercy award, Rookie Nurse of the Year. Sarah also went on the February mission trip to Haiti and has already signed up to participate again next year.

Matt Kele ’13, who is pursuing his master of science degree in physician assistant studies at Bay Path College, is beginning his clinical rotation next month.

Chalis Bird ’13 is pursuing her master’s in molecular biology at Smith College and plans to graduate in 2015. She was in South Africa earlier this year to collect stool samples from wildlife under a research project on parasitic diseases led by Smith Professor of Biological Sciences Steven Williams.

Kevin Krupczak ’13 is a lab technician at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research at MIT.

William Kulig ’13 teaches science at Ludlow High School.

Chris Covert ’11 is special education teacher at Springfield High School of Science and Technology.

Garrett Brune ’12, who is currently coaching swimming, is in the process of applying to UMass Dartmouth to get his master of arts in teaching.

Brooke Miller ’12 works for BAL Laboratory, a microbiology lab in Cranston, Rhode Island.

Melanie Joy ’08 works for the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation in the Forest Health program.

Rachel Atanowski ’13 is a research scientist with Unilever.
